Spices are Your Best Friend in the Kitchen
I used to be afraid of using spices, because I couldn’t get the right spare to come together, but with anything I kept trying until I found my perfect blend and I haven’t looked back since. Don’t be afraid to mix and match your favorite spices today. It will open up the door of cooking endless possibilities.
Here are some of my favorite fall spices..i.e. Cinnamon I love warm milk with cinnamon, french toast with lots of cinnamon, another favorite of mine is nutmeg. It brings my cauliflower and tomato dishes to life.
My family loves chicken, so the first recipe is my Not Your Traditional Oven Fried Chicken.
Here’s the chicken marinating for 1 hour, this is a very important step so all the flavors come together.
This is always the question in my household Spicy or Not?
My household is made out of different taste buds, I like things not too spicy and my wife likes spicy food. So this recipe is easily adaptable to fit both of our taste buds.
Since chicken is my family’s favorite meat, I have to use different spices to give the chicken a different taste, because it can get boring eating chicken all week. The fall is slowly coming upon us and it’s my favorite time of the year, because I can use all my favorite warm spices to kick all my meals up a notch as Emerial would say.
I have finally mastered a way to bake chicken that taste like fried chicken without being dried out in the inside. They save a family that cooks together, stays together.
I hope you enjoy, just as much as my family enjoy it.
You can have your family’s recipe shared with Harlem as well, just shoot me an email with your recipe.
